1. Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Convertmio, including the website, conversion tools, APIs and downloadable outputs (together, the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you use the Service on behalf of a company or other organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.

2. The Service

Convertmio provides online file conversion and utility tools for documents, images, audio, video, text and developer formats. The Service is provided free of charge unless a paid feature is clearly marked.

We may add, change, suspend or discontinue tools or features at any time. We aim to keep the Service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. The Service is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly allow children to create accounts.

4. Accounts

The tools can be used without an account. If you create one, you must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms, pose a security risk, or are used for abuse.

5. Your content and licence

You retain ownership of the files you upload and the outputs you create. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to receive, scan, store temporarily, convert, transmit and delete your files solely to provide the Service.

You represent that you have the rights needed to upload and process each file, and that your content does not violate law or third-party rights. We do not claim ownership of your files and do not use them for advertising or model training.

6. Acceptable use

You must not upload malware, ransomware, illegal material, content that sexualises minors, or files you do not have permission to process.

You must not attempt to bypass rate limits, probe or scan our infrastructure, scrape the Service at scale, reverse engineer protected components, disrupt other users, or use the Service to attack third parties.

We may rate-limit, reject files, or block access to protect the Service and its users.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, text, graphics and the Convertmio name and logo, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law or with our written permission.

If you send us feedback or suggestions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use them to improve the Service.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third-party infrastructure, including cloud hosting, object storage, email delivery and payment processing. Those providers have their own terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for their independent acts or omissions.

9. Fees and taxes

The tools are currently free. If we introduce paid features, the price and billing terms will be shown before you purchase. You are responsible for any applicable taxes. We do not store full payment card details; payments are handled by our payment provider.

10. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

Conversions can change formatting, quality, metadata or compatibility. Always keep your original file. We do not warrant that an output will be error-free or suitable for a particular use.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, goodwill or business opportunity, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total aggregate liability for claims relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or (b) INR 5,000. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your content, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.

13. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing would create a security or legal risk. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership, disclaimers, liability and indemnity.

14. Changes to the Service and these Terms

We may update these Terms as the Service or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page. Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer protections in your country, the courts of India will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or the Service.
